A weekend getaway to celebrate love.
JULY 11-14, 2025
KASTELLORIZO, GREECE
ABOUT
We just wanted to organize a nice weekend away with a small group of our old and newer friends whose company we genuinely enjoy. No frills, no fuss — just real. It won’t be a typical destination "wedding" but rather just a relaxed few days hanging out together on a beautiful, lesser-known island in Greece — one that we fell in love with last summer and felt like a perfect place to host you.

It won’t be a typical destination "wedding" but rather just a relaxed few days hanging out together on a beautiful, lesser-known island in Greece — one that we fell in love with last summer and felt like a perfect place to host you.
We met in February 2019 in Bali and have been together since. It was the kind of meeting where a series of unusual events led us to be in the right place at the right time, crossing paths for only a mere 5 minutes. And that was it — a fateful love at first meeting, you could say!
We discovered the island of Kastellorizo last summer and fell in love immediately. Not many tourists, authentic vibes, aesthetic harbour, simple good food — to us it's the epitome of Greek summers.
The island furthest east in Greece, just off the coast of Turkey, Kastellorizo attracts a cosmopolitan creative set looking for seclusion and true relaxation found in simplicity, offered by an island where beauty is everywhere but there is very little to do. Only one simple road connects the tiny airstrip to the small colourful harbour town. There’s only one taxi on the island, but everything is accessible on foot or by boat. In our opinion, one of the best islands we've been to so far in Greece - it's down-to-earth, incredibly aesthetic, and offers an authentic getaway experience.
Restored and designed by a French architect, the first boutique hotel to exist on the island is a photogenic place to stay. The seaside terrace is like out of a movie set. Brightly coloured cushions and rugs are strewn beneath the arches of the quayside veranda, the perfect spot for a swim before a breakfast at the communal table, where guests at this “family house” mingle. A melange of bold colours, richly patterned textiles and Ottoman antiques, the atmosphere here is intimate and unpretentious.

The sister hotel of the original Mediterraneo Hotel is housed in neoclassical mansions set back from the waterfront with sea views. Painted in dusky hues, with sunlight and large windows, the whole place has a romantic feel. Guests are served breakfast under the pergola in the garden, and at sunset the terrace is a place to gather together and enjoy.

How to get to this little remote island?
The luxury of no tourists and less crowds comes at a price - it is not easy to get to this island. Please plan well in advance!
The only way to fly to the island is via Rhodes, and it's the fastest way. There is only 1 flight each day (except Thursdays) at 11:05am.
Most international flights to Rhodes will not have enough time to make this connection, so we recommend to fly to Rhodes the day before, stay overnight in Rhodes, and take the flight to Kastellorizo on Friday morning. This is what we will be doing.
The flight is a small plane and there is only one, so there are not so many seats. We advise to book as early as possible!

You can fly to Antalya in Turkey.
Drive 3 hours to Kas port.
Take a short ferry ride across to Kastellorizo.
There are direct flights from many European cities including Salzburg and Munich to Antalya. From there our hotel can help to arrange a car transfer to Kas or you can make a roadtrip holiday down the beautiful Turkish coast out of it. From Kas there are ferries that go to Kastellorizo everyday at 9am, some days also have at 3pm (on Fridays they have a journey at 3pm).
